There didn't seem to be much wind so I went for a bike ride up into the hills and a walk round the fishing lake a Glanteenassig. After the ride I went for a quick dip in the sea and it seemed that the winded had picked up. So I drove round to find a number of people by the trench trying to get going on 6.5 to 7 m sails. It didn't look very exciting so I chatted for a while and then headed back. I stopped at the beach by the school and the wind seemed to have picked up so I rigged my 5.5m and 99 l board. It was good for a while but the wind dropped and I struggled to stay upwind. After a bit I realised it would be easier to come in at the trench where the others had been sailing. There were still a couple of people packing up and one very kindly gave me a lift back to my car.

So a good day with a bike ride, walk round the lake, dip in the sea, and a bonus windsurfing session!
